為替変動リスク
為替相場は一定ではなく絶えず動き続けています。また様々な要因により上下するため、自分が上がると予測してもその通りに動くとは限りません。為替相場の変動によっては予期せぬ損失を被る可能性があります。特にポジションキープしたまま相場から離れるときは注意してください。知らない間に損失となっていることもありえます。
金利変動リスク
スワップポイントは高金利通貨を買うことで得られますが、逆に高金利通貨を売りで持ち続けているとスワップ金利の支払いが発生します。また為替相場の状態によっては買いポジションでもスワップポイントの支払いが発生することもあります。実際2011年3月の東北大震災後には売買両方のポジションにおいてスワップ金利の支払いが発生したケースがありました。
流動性リスク
通貨ペアによっては取引量が少なく注文が成立しない可能性もあります。通貨ペアによっては必ず売買ができるとは限らないのでマイナー通貨を取引するときは注意が必要です。
カントリーリスク
当該国の情勢によっては新規注文や決済注文が成立できないという可能性があります。マイナー通貨は高金利かつ値動きが激しいという特徴がありますが、その分カントリーリスクも高くなります。メジャー通貨を中心に取り扱うことでリスクを低減することができます。
信用リスク
FX業者自体の信用度は絶対的なものではありません。今までも倒産や廃業といった例は多数あります。利用しているFX会社の状況には絶えず注視しておく必要があります。
